英國「泰晤士報高等教育特刊」(Times Higher Education)21日公布2016-2017年全球最佳大學排行榜報告，今年將調查排名的大學數量，從去年的800所增加到980所，共有來自全球79個國家的大學上榜，其中有來自24個亞洲國家的290所大學進榜，有19所晉升全球前200名。美國大學進入排行榜前列的仍占多數，前十名中美國大學就占七所，整個最佳大學排行榜中，美國共有148所大學進榜。三分之二的美國大學進入前200名。世界前20名大學依序是：牛津大學、加州理工學院、史丹福大學、劍橋大學、麻省理工學院、哈佛大學、普林斯頓大學、倫敦帝國學院、蘇黎世聯邦理工學院、柏克萊加大與芝加哥大學並列第10 。接下來是耶魯大學、賓州大學、洛杉磯加大、倫敦大學學院、哥倫比亞大學、約翰霍普金斯大學、杜克大學、康乃爾大學、西北大學。這項調查是根據教學與學習環境、研究數量與聲望、研究報告被引用率、國際展望及知識轉移等13個指標進行評估。

Hello,
The Student Success and Equity Department will be hosting the College and University Day on Wednesday, September 21, 2016. This event will be held from 10am to 1pm in the Gym. This event is a great way for Barstow Community College students to gather vital information on the transfer process. There will be over 20 colleges and universities in attendance who will be offering guidance and support to students looking to continue their education.
College and University Day is a great opportunity in where students are exposed to options they may not have been aware of. Lunch will be free for students who download the Gradguru app and only a $1 for those who do not. There will also be prizes for students who play our College and University Day Bingo game.
