On behalf of GALA (GI and Liver Association of the Americas), we would like to invite you to the GALA Dallas CME conference being held on April 10-11, 2015 at the Hyatt Regency Dallas. This 1.5 day conference is designed to address the educational needs of healthcare professionals interested in chronic GI and liver diseases. The CME/CE component of the conference will provide up to 11.0 CME/CE credit hours and will present state of the art information that will help you optimize patient outcomes. Target Audience

Statement of Need
To provide state of the art information, including the most relevant information expected at the 2015 European Association for the Study of the Liver (EASL) & 2015 Digestive Disease Week (DDW).
CME Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this conference, participants should be better able to:
• Describe evolving patient management and treatment strategies for chronic GI and liver diseases
• Integrate significant advances in therapeutic and diagnostic modalities into their clinical practices
• Compare and contrast currently available treatment modalities and future treatments, in order to identify those patients who will benefit most from a particular modality
• Discuss the latest clinical research, including future therapies and their role in the context of the current clinical paradigm
• Explain the latest treatment algorithms/guidelines and apply the guidelines to their practices

The Rule of Law Under Xi Jinping - Talk by Jerome Cohen, New York University School of Law

Prof. Jerome Cohen, one of the world’s foremost experts on Chinese law and legal institutions, will discuss recent developments in China’s legal system, the fallout from the Zhou Yongkang corruption case, and prospects for legal reform in the wake of the recent Fourth Plenum.

Jerome Cohen is a professor of law at the New York University School of Law, and an adjunct senior fellow for Asia studies at the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR). Prof. Cohen formerly served as Jeremiah J. Smith professor, director of East Asian legal studies, and associate dean at Harvard Law School. He has published several books, including The Criminal Process in the People’s Republic of China, 1949–63, People’s China and International Law, and Contract Laws of the People’s Republic of China, and many articles on Chinese law as well as a general book, China Today, coauthored with his wife, Joan Lebold Cohen. Prof. Cohen is a graduate of Yale College and Yale Law School. He was a law clerk to both U.S. Supreme Court Chief Justice Earl Warren and to Justice Felix Frankfurter. He was also a partner at the law firm of Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison.
