Statement of Need To provide state of the art information, including the most relevant information expected at the 2015 European Association for the Study of the Liver (EASL) & 2015 Digestive Disease Week (DDW). CME Learning Objectives Upon completion of this conference, participants should be better able to: • Describe evolving patient management and treatment strategies for chronic GI and liver diseases • Integrate significant advances in therapeutic and diagnostic modalities into their clinical practices • Compare and contrast currently available treatment modalities and future treatments, in order to identify those patients who will benefit most from a particular modality • Discuss the latest clinical research, including future therapies and their role in the context of the current clinical paradigm • Explain the latest treatment algorithms/guidelines and apply the guidelines to their practices Physician Accreditation Statement This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the Essential Areas and policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) through the joint providership of the Annenberg Center for Health Sciences at Eisenhower, the GI and Liver Association of the Americas (GALA) and The Texas Liver Institute.
