2. 專題講座時間: 增進姊妹省州情誼 林政則訪美洛城開講
04/19 上午 11:00~12:00林政則主席,將於洛杉磯客家會館演講- 城市外交與台美姊妹省州情誼. 為增進台灣省政府與美國姊妹省州的情誼，行政院政務委員兼台灣省政府主席林政則於14日下午搭機赴美訪問10天。台灣省政府指出，林政則此行赴美，將訪問愛達荷州、懷俄明州及加利福尼亞州等3個台灣省的姊妹州，預定拜會愛達荷州長歐士傑、懷俄明州長米麥特等政要。此外，林政則也將於洛杉磯客家會館演講.林政則也將說明台灣經濟的發展及兩岸服務貿易協議的內容與實質利益，以及政府推動跨太平洋夥伴協定（TPP）的決心與做法。今年適逢台灣省與愛達荷州及懷俄明州締盟姊妹省州30週年，鑒於台美姊妹州關係長期緊密而友好，林政則將分別出席兩州30週年紀念酒會，敦睦姊妹省州情誼。

The San Bernardino County Workforce Investment Board (WIB) through the Workforce Development Department (WDD), has available funding for a program that can assist students with what we call Non-WIA funded training. What that means is there is funding that can assist students with paying for books, supplies and testing fee’s required for classes.
• We have five demand clusters that we are looking to do Non-WIA funded training in. We would highly prefer in our demand sectors of:
1) Healthcare
2) Transportation, Distribution and Logistics
3) Manufacturing
4) Construction, and
5) Energy and Utilities
We want to be able to support successful programs with solid outcomes and placement rates. We may be able to assist in other types of certification programs if we are provided with placement information.
The Details:
• We can assist up to $500.00 each semester for items required for the training.
• Must be in a certificated program.
• Students are WIA eligible (We will provide guidance on what is required)
If you could provide us with the contact information for the person that is in-charge of these types of programs, we will contact them directly and provide more details. Perhaps this information can be forwarded to that person as well.
This is a great opportunity and a great benefit to the students and we’d like for them to take advantage of this program. We are looking to enroll and assist students prior to 6/30/14. To find out more information you can email or call us.
