Save the Date for the 2023 AMS Online Fall Graduate School Fair
The AMS welcomes you to participate in the second annual Online Fall Graduate School Fair taking place on Wednesday, October 18, 2023, 3:30 – 6:00 p.m. ET (12:30 – 3:00 p.m. PT). This event is hosted online and is free for student attendees. Last year, 50 schools and organizations attended and more than 400 students registered. We expect a larger turnout this year. Don’t miss this opportunity to inform prospective students about the details and benefits of your school’s program.
Exhibitor registration is $100 for AMS Institutional Members and $150 for non-members. Registration will open soon. Sign up to receive booth registration information for this event and the upcoming JMM Graduate School Fair.

July has been a busy month. I’ve worked to ignore Republican distractions, and have continued to introduce and advocate for legislation that truly protects the American people.
In July alone, I’ve been able to introduce: The FLAG Act to strengthen legal support for petitioners using our Red Flag laws. The Language Access to Gun Violence Prevention Act to strengthen access to Red Flag laws for non-English speakers.
The Asunción Valdivia Heat Illness, Injury and Fatality Prevention Act to ensure OSHA creates heat standards to protect workers from heat-related illness. The Breast Cancer Patient Equity Act to ensure that breast cancer patients have covered access to full reconstructive options.
Your ongoing support allows my team and me to continue this momentum and to advocate for the real needs of people across the country. Your contribution today will help strengthen my campaign and the campaigns of other Democratic House candidates. We need your support to help ensure we win back the House in 2024, so we can get back to work and continue passing meaningful legislation.

I hope this letter finds you all in good health and high spirits. I wanted to take a moment to share my recent update. After much consideration, this week I have accepted the official offer to join the Department ofKinesiology, Recreation, and Sports Studies at the University of Tennessee at Knoxville as the Department Head and Professor, commencing this August.
As I embark on this new chapter in my career, I invite you to pay me a visit if you happen to find yourselves in the vicinity of the Great Smoky Mountain National Park area. The beauty of the landscape is awe-inspiring, and I would be delighted to show you around and catch up on our shared experiences. It would be a wonderful opportunity to reconnect and continue fostering the bonds we have formed in the past.
While it is difficult to bid farewell to a place (UMN) that has become so dear to my heart, I am also excited about the possibilities and new horizons that await me at the University of Tennessee. Leading a large department with over 1800 students and a considerable number of faculty and staff is both a career development opportunity and a challenge to me. Greeting from China Sport Science Society (CSSS)!
The 13th National Convention on Sport Science of China (NCSSC) will be held from October 27th to October 29th, 2023, in Tianjin, China, with the theme of “Science and Technology Innovate Sporting Powers”. International Sport Science Seminar (ISSS) will be held as in previous sessions during the convention, in order to build a platform for international academic exchange in sport science.
We sincerely invite you to assign 2 delegates for the events, 1 of whom is required to give oral presentation on the seminar as speaker. CSSS shall provide local transportation and accommodations in Tianjin, China. Please note that international round-trip ticket shall be borne by dispatching party.

And please send topic, abstract and basic information (Name, Affiliation with Sociecty/Institution/University, Introduction and Research Field) to fa@csss.cn.
3. We look forward to your feedback on whether your society/organization/university will assign delegates and collect the above-mentioned information before June 30th. By then, if you still need more time to work on the abstract, please reply and confirm attendance as well as send related basic information, and provide abstract before July 31st.
4. Please note that speakers must attend on site. In case of absence, your presentation will be canceled.

2023 CTA Summer Pass to Online Learning and University Credit
The California Teachers Association 2023 Summer Pass to Online Learning and University Credit is a benefit allowing CTA members to earn university credit during the summer. CTA Members, through attending an in-person conference or watching CTA Virtual Pass sessions, have the opportunity to accumulate the professional growth hours needed to qualify for university credit units with CSU, Chico.
2023 Summer Pass Timelines
Start Date: June 1st, 2023
End Date: August 4th, 2023
As a benefit to members, CTA will cover the $75/unit cost for up to six university credit units available.
The professional growth hours can be accumulated by attending conferences live and/or by watching recordings.
Check with your district HR office or local chapter president to ensure that university credit units can help you advance on your salary schedule.
