长期以来一直收到您发来的邮件，获益匪浅，但最近几期只能看到首页，其中每项的内容都打不开，不知是何原因，盼告，谢谢。劳丁。

All of our 12,000 Net members from overseas have no problem to open the http://scholarsupdate.com and UPDATE Newsletter. But the 2200 Net members in China do have hard time to open them since “18 Da”. The only reason could be that the Chinese online police and firewall block it for some reasons. The only reason you can’t visit our Scholars-Net website is that you are in China.
We have no idea why this happens since there had never been any problem since 1992 (to 2012). I guess you may have to wait and see. Hopefully the related Chinese state departments will lift bar instead of cut us off forever.
In our knowledge, most of our Net professors and professionals in China (over half of them are actually take the leadership roles in all kind of institutes and local government departments) used the software of FANQIANG to read our information as usual since they know we are non-political and non-profit making group since the first day of our birth.
But anyway, we do not encourage everyone in China to use the Fanqiang to read our UPDATE or visit our website since it is against the law. We just sincerely hope that the China government and new leadership will be smart enough to let the Chinese people have more freedom to read healthy information from overseas, to understand that whatever we have been doing is significant for the country in the long run.

中国的春晚还没到，不过有着美国春晚之称的NFL超级碗（美国职业橄榄球联盟年度总决赛）要上演了。当地时间3日，第47届NFL超级碗将在新奥尔良超级圆顶体育场上演，超级碗的两支决赛球队旧金山49人和巴尔的摩乌鸦均已抵达比赛地进行最后的备战。本届超级碗将会为新奥尔良市带来4.23亿美元的经济刺激，全球电视观众会在10亿以上，而广告额将创历史达到2.63亿美元。

权威财经杂志《福布斯》最新公布的数据: 超级碗被估价4.2亿美元，继续稳坐最具商业价值的体育赛事宝座，其价值比奥运会（2.3亿美元）和世界杯足球赛（1.2亿美元）相加还要高。这是新奥尔良市在八年前被卡特里娜飓风摧毁后第一次承办超级碗的比赛，也是他们第10次承办超级碗，而这次承办也会为新奥尔良再次带来巨额的经济效益。本届超级碗将会对新奥尔良市带来4.23亿美元的经济刺激，比起2012年在印第安纳波利斯的3.2亿美元的收益超出1个亿。本届超级碗的平均门票价格在二手市场已经炒到了3100美元，而整场76000个座位将会直接带来2.37亿美元的收入。商品收入预计将会达到1.5亿美元，而在拉斯维加斯合法的赌博场所，将会带来1亿美元左右的赌资，而全国各地非法投注总额预估将会达到10亿美元。广告对于超级碗来说一直都是吸引球迷眼球的原因之一，因此本届超级碗的广告收入再次创下了历史新高，达到了每30秒370-380万美元左右，平均每秒70万美元，如果是最后时刻的广告，30秒则需要400万美元。
碧昂丝献唱 一场娱乐盛宴
福布斯去年统计，超级碗商业价值已达4.2亿美元。如此猛烈的金元攻势来自全民出动，不仅是在比赛所在地，整个美国都会对一年一度的超级碗报以极高的热情。主办方按照去年全美的超级碗电视观众人数（1.13亿）来推测，今年将有不少于1亿名美国境内观众收看这场橄榄球比赛，火热程度完胜美国大选和奥斯卡颁奖礼，而全球电视观众在两年前就突破了10亿大关，近来更是稳中有升，超级碗早已超出了体育的范畴，更像是一个狂欢的节日。超级碗今年为这个节日邀请到的娱乐明星是艾丽西亚·凯斯和碧昂丝，前者将会现场演唱美国国歌，后者则是作为中场演出嘉宾登台献唱。碧昂丝在超级碗的新闻发布会上还承认自己因为过于专注地准备超级碗，在奥巴马的总统就职仪式上假唱。
