Thank you for responding to my comments personally and timely. I am glad to know that you take the quality of the Newsletter so seriously. I forget if I told you but I have retired from Illinois State University and will settle down in the Bay area of California. If you come to this area in the future, I will be happy to host your visit or at least have a lunch/dinner together.

中美文化講壇將於2月24日(周日)下午2時在佛光山中美寺舉辦「從台北人到父親與民國」的文學講座，邀請集文學與崑曲於一身的當代作家白先勇蒞臨演講，除了發表新書「父親與民國：白崇禧將軍身影集」之外，白先勇也將針對自身幾十年的文學創作歷程，做完整的告白。有「小說奇才」之稱的白先勇，作品集豐富，著有短篇小說集「寂寞的十七歲」、「台北人」、長篇小說「孽子」、散文「暮然回首」、「第六隻手指」，並有劇作「遊園驚夢」等。其近作「父親與民國：白崇禧將軍身影集」，主要為父親白崇禧將軍和民國史還原歷史真相。
繼2009年3月邀請白先勇在休士頓主講「崑曲面向國際」，談論歷經十年精心創作的崑曲作品「青春版牡丹亭」，白先勇再度蒞臨中美寺開講。全場將備有中英文翻譯，演講後，主辦單位將開放30分鐘的Q&A讓民眾提問，之後也會有白先勇簽書會，歡迎文學同好，一同共襄盛舉。農曆春節將近，中美寺則準備一系列的春節祈福活動，除夕當晚9時至10時30分舉辦祈福消災法會，提供信眾辭歲拜年、上頭炷香及敲平安鐘等活動；新春期間上午10時30分至下午4時也會舉辦「佛陀的一生」3D影片展，歡迎十方信眾踴躍參與。

亞特蘭大世貿中心中國部(World Trade Center Atlanta China Business Alliance）與喬治亞州立大學商務孔子學院，將於年2月8日（周五）下午3時至8時30分，在該中心舉辦第10屆中美商務論壇暨中國春節商務聯誼會，論壇的主題是：如何在金融風暴中安全著陸。這次的商務論壇議題將涵蓋貿易、投資、旅遊、教育與文化交流、高新科技交流、知識產權保護等。這次活動也得到沙泉商會（Sandy Springs Chamber of Commerce）、亞特蘭大中華專業人士協會和亞特蘭大中國商會的贊助。

洛杉矶广州同学会将举办盛大新年晚会
