$700 Scholarship Award for Immediate Release: StayFitInCollege.org, which promotes fitness in college, has just announced scholarship awards for the 2012/2013 academic year. 湖南检查水稻种子及稻米市场 未发现转基因产品
今年上半年，湖南省农业部门对全省水稻种子市场进行了抽样检查，没有发现转基因水稻种子。最近，湖南省农业部门又对全省的稻米市场进行检查，就目前掌握的情况，没有发现转基因大米的种植和加工。如果发现非法生产、加工转基因大米，可根据国务院颁布的《农业转基因生物安全管理条例》予以处罚。
该条例的第四十五条规定：“在生产性试验结束后，未取得农业转基因生物安全证书，擅自将农业转基因生物投入生产和应用的，由国务院农业行政主管部门责令停止生产和应用，并处2万元以上10万元以下的罚款。”
条例第四十七条规定：“未经批准生产、加工农业转基因生物或者未按照批准的品种、范围、安全管理要求和技术标准生产、加工的，由国务院农业行政主管部门或者省、自治区、直辖市人民政府农业行政主管部门依据职权，责令停止生产或者加工，没收违法生产或者加工的产品及违法所得；违法所得10万元以上的，并处违法所得1倍以上5倍以下的罚款；没有违法所得或者违法所得不足10万元的，并处10万元以上20万元以下的罚款。” |

堅決保衛釣魚台，中華兒女一起來！『“九.一五”萬人大遊行，示威抗議發怒吼！』即將登場，大家萬眾一心，正緊鑼密鼓籌劃中。 北加州各界華人915保釣示威大遊行籌備會表示，此次915保釣示威大遊行，避免誰主導的問題，籌備會一致通過以“北加州各界華人”一致對外，短短一個星期，兩岸三地華人包括傳統僑社、臺籍社團、新僑組織、校友會、留學生等團體大家齊心協力，有錢出錢有力出力共謀劃策，目前已有234個社團參與聯署，範圍繼續擴大中。
鑒於日本強行侵佔釣魚台列嶼，士可忍孰不可辱，北加州各界華人915保釣示威大遊行籌備會表示，2012年9月15日（星期六）下午十二時半假舊金山華埠花園角廣場，舉行全美華人同步“保釣護土”示威遊行活動，活動包括演講、愛國歌曲演唱、示威遊行等，目的為維護中國領土主權，與中華民族尊嚴，號召北加州各界華人走上街頭，發出炎黃子孫的正義怒吼之聲。
「保釣護土」聲明-
中國百年積弱，兵連禍結，以日本為患最烈，自甲午戰爭以降、歷經九一八事變、七七事變、南京大屠殺....等等，日本侵華罪行罄竹難書。如今日本又屢藉釣魚台列嶼，滋生事端，侵犯中國領土主權，侮辱中華民族尊嚴，莫此為甚！釣魚台列嶼屬於中國版圖，乃為不爭之事實。海內外華人，應同聲一氣，強烈譴責日本的侵略行為，拆穿日本不改侵略本質的真面目。
我們呼籲：
(1)海內外華人不分領域，熱烈響應全美『九‧一五』抗議示威行動，嚴正抗議日本侵佔釣魚台列嶼，要求日本政府船艦立即撤出釣魚台海域。
(2)海內外華文媒體鼎力支持，加強報導相關訊息，開闢言論園地，傳播「保釣護土」理念。
(3)今強鄰入侵，兩岸理應共禦外侮，研議具體辦法，維護領土主權的完整。
(4)海內外同胞身體力行，展現民間實力，不分黨派，口徑一致，站在中華民族守土有責的基本立場，全美同步發出怒吼，抗議日本霸權。
(5)讓美國了解日本侵佔釣魚台列嶼，代表日本軍國主義的野心擴張，會直接危害亞太的和平與世界的穩定。

《Apple buying back iPhone 4S in US but not in China》
To prepare for the next-generation iPhone release expected in September, Apple is buying back all the used iPhone 4S in its home market in the US, paying about half of the original $700 cost of the phone.
But Apple has no such plans for China. Here, Apple agrees only to recycle used devices "free of charge."
Why is China treated so differently than the US, when China is such an important market for companies like Apple?
China is 20% of Apple''s sales and about 50% of its profit, but the company still takes advantage of its Chinese customers whenever possible. |
