Christopher Chiang runs for the 13th District Senate in pursuit of state education reform: http://chiang2012.org, website: http://halfourbudget.org/13district/press/ Meet Chris: Click Here. Contact: Chiang for State Senate 2012 1681 Latham Street, Mountain View, CA 94041 E-mail: press@chiang2012.com chris@chiang2012.com Phone: 650-242-5182 Fax: 650-963-9844 Link: http://senate.ca.gov/; http://halfourbudget.org Christopher Kent Chiang From Ballotpedia.org Candidate for California State Senate District 13 Party: Democratic Education: Bachelor''s UC Irvine, 2002 Master''s Columbia University/Stanford University, 2010/2004 Profession Social science teacher
Christopher Chiang is a 2012 Democratic candidate for District 13 of the California State Senate. Issues - Campaign themes 2012 Chris stated the following about why he is running in a biographical submission to Ballotpedia:[1] "When I worked in New York City, I taught at Seward Park High School in the Lower East Side of Manhattan. The school was a gateway for immigrants in the early 20th century. Prominent graduates included Nobel laureate biochemist Julius Axelrod. Axelrod was the son of Jewish immigrants from Poland, and Seward Park High School set him on a path towards realizing his full talents. Many of us have similar experiences with our own schooling. Currently however, due to shortsighted state policies, a new immigrant that does succeed likely does so in spite of his or her schooling, rather than because of the quality of his or her public education. I am running because someone has to fight to bring our state’s focus back to the primary mission expressed in its first Constitution in 1849: quality public education. The vitality of California’s economy and democracy depends on this singular focus. Every other public problem we care about stems from our neglect of our children. It will take courage to say “no” to the many other progressive causes that our state government is involved in and that Californians have grown accustomed to having. I would not be running if I felt others were truly committed to prioritizing children first. I ask for your vote to bring California back to its former greatness."
Elections 2012 See also: California State Senate elections, 2012 Chiang is running in the 2012 election for California State Senate District 13. He is running against assemblyman Gerald Hill (D), Sally Lieber (D), and John H. Webster (L) in the primary on June 5, 2012. The general election takes place on November 6, 2012.
可以在東區家放 Jay Chen for Congress 的 yard sign.
