中创协会(OCEPA)设立华府分会
总部位于加州的中国留学人员创业协会（简称中创协会, OCEPA）近日发布消息，自2012年2月1日起中创协会在美国首都大华府地区正式设立华盛顿分会，以便更直接地为大华府地区留学人员开展科技创新创业的跨国度交流活动提供良好服务。首任华府分会会长由曾海归在上海浦东一跨国医药公司工作过3年的生物医药研发科学家汪琳达出任。
中创协会（http://www.returnchina.org）， 即著名的 ReturnChina，成立于2002年2月，总部位于世界科技创新中心和圣地--美国加州硅谷，是全球最早、最大、也是最活跃的专门从事科技创新创业 交流活动的海外高科技社团。协会成立以来会员已发展到五千多人，外围力量雄厚，在世界各地建有近20个分会。协会宗旨是联系和协助在美国及全球发达国家有丰富工作经验，并曾经回国、考虑回国、准备回国、或已经回国的高科技精英，交流在中国创业和工作的经历，提供有关中国高科技行业的需求和创业机会，开展科技和经贸交流活动。同时，积极推动整合全球中国人才和技术资源，为中国推荐高科技项目，联合进行人才培训和项目引进，孵化与开发。协会大部分骨干成员均在创业或是有过创业经验。过去10年中，中创协会积极推动各地各级政府加大对创新的投入和支持，呼吁政府重视没有科技创新就没有自主知识产权，提倡自主创新，强调核心技术无法引进。协会于2005 年成功推动中国商业部在全国实行商务外包。早在2002年中创协会就在<<神州学人>>杂志上发表文章，倡导政府投入，倡导自主研发和科技创新。随后被人民日报海外版转载，并长期登载在中国驻美大使馆教育处网站上。
中创协会华府分会建立后，将在总会的指导下扩增团队，加强与各地分会的合作和交流，进一步推动美中两地尤其是大华府地区和中国各省区的人才交流及科技创新项目交流，充分利用大华府地区丰富的 政治、财经、学术、科研和人文资源以及大华府地区众多的华人专业人士团体和侨社资源，组织和开展各种科技创新创业交流活动。有兴趣参与中创协会华府分会活 动的，请与Linda 直接联系(rcdc2012@yahoo.com)。
