深受華裔青少年們所喜愛的CYC（Chinese Youth Camp），每年結營時都讓學員們依依不捨，由於今年CYC的時間較往年提前，正、副輔導員的徵選也因此提前；今年夏令營輔導員報名由即日起至2月25日截止。 今年華裔青少年夏令營要擴大舉行，改成七天六夜。預定於7月1日至7月7日，營地將設於阿靈頓德州大學（UTA），駐營時間也更改為周日至周六(周六下午結束)；今年的CYC仍將由達拉斯華人活動中心主辦，僑務委員會、美洲中國工程師協會達福分會以及Comerica Bank共同贊助。為了能讓參加夏令營的同學們，有既快樂又有意義的營地活動，正、副輔導員的訓練十分重要，在這個屬於他們自己的活動裡，如何在團體中與同伴相處，共同完成輔導學員的任務，又能夠分享快樂的時光，除了課程的安排必須是他們所喜愛的之外，正、副輔導員在這七天當中領導才能的展現，正是CYC籌備會所要達成的目標。
正、副輔導員報名截止日期是2月25日，主辦單位將於2月25日、3月3日、3月24日及3月31日舉行正、副輔導員的領導才能訓練，在四次的訓練課程中將介紹夏令營的營地生活情形，以及正、副輔導員的責任及任務，並以分組方式及活動設計觀察他們的才能及專長，歡迎有興趣的華裔青少年報名參加。凡年滿15歲（2012年8月31日前）的同學，皆可報名參加正、副輔導員。學員招生將於2月27日起接受報名。6月3日截止報名。正、副輔導員報名表可至達拉斯華人活動中心領取。亦可上網由臉書連結下載http://www.facebook.com/dallascyc。如有任何問題請與夏令營營長李庭槐972-671-8234，註冊組：洪小惠972-830-9382老師聯絡。

刚刚得到通知，中国日报为习副主席首次访美出版特刊的广告价格是平时价格的一半：整版10，000美元，半版5，000美元，以此类推。中国日报今年年底出版报道中美关系画册时（今年是中美关系正常化40周年），也会把特刊（包括广告）内容免费放入其中。画册将在全美、中国各省市发行。无论是习副主席首次访美（16日在洛杉矶），还是画册，都是对各华人社团、协会很好的推广机会。是否可以考虑请愿意参与的社团、协会联名在特刊上做一次广告？这样大家可以分摊cost。盼望答复。谢谢！
