波士顿南开校友会
南开大学正在规划建设津南新校区。这是母校千载难逢的历史性发展机遇，是海内外校友共同关注的大事，全体南开校友心向往之。津南新区将开辟校友林、种植校友树，作为校友心系母校的载体，作为校友对母校表达感恩和支持的方式。活动将分期进行，首期时间为2011年12月至2013年12月。详细情况请见《“我爱南开”校友林、校友树捐赠活动方案》。
12月4日，上海校友会通过校友总会向全球南开校友组织和全体南开校友发出倡议，积极支持母校新校区的建设，积极参与“我爱南开”校友林、校友树捐赠活动，将新校区校友林、校友树建成见证南开校友文化的永久纪念，建成教育在校生立志成才的绿色景观。捐赠活动得到了南开校友的广泛关注和积极响应。目前已有100名上海校友认捐了校友树，超过100名上海校友认捐了校友林。
12月15日，活动倡议书已向全球南开校友发布。此活动将是各地校友组织团结南开人，凝聚校友力量的良好时机。在此，请贵会给予高度重视和大力支持，积极组织和协助当地校友参与捐赠活动。如果贵会在活动中有疑问或有需要校友总会和南开大学协助的地方，请及时与南开校友总会秘书处和南开大学校友工作办公室（022-23500388）联系。
我们总是将“树木”与“树人”联系在一起。建设校友林、校友树，不仅是南开校友文化的永久纪念，更是教育学子们立志成才的生动教材，因为这里的绿树承载着南开人的凝聚力和人文内涵。我们希望，将来新校区中的每一棵树都能够由一代又一代的南开人用心浇灌。
