The 3^1st International Conference on Pacific Rim Management

Successfully Held at City University of Macau

The 3^1st International Conference on Pacific Rim Management, organized by the Association for Chinese Management Educators (ACME) and co-organized and hosted by City University of Macau, was successfully held from June 29 to July 1, 2024, in Macau, China.

There were close to one hundred submissions of papers and abstracts. Fifty of them were selected for the presentations. The topics include important issues in the supply chain, finance, marketing, HR, information technology and ESG. Professor Jianyu Ma, the Editor-in-Chief of the International Journal of Management Theory and Practices, conducted a DBA workshop on June 30.

Dr. Jose Alves, Dean of the Faculty of Business at City University of Macau, chaired the Conference Program Committee. Dr. Harry Xia, Professor at Craig School of Business at California State University, Fresno and Drs. Justin Xie and William Chen from City University were co-chairs.

Dr. Harry Xia, who also serves as President of the ACME, presided over the Board of Directors and Officers meeting. Many important issues were discussed during this meeting, including a proposal to hold the next conference at City University again in 2025.

During the closing ceremony, three papers received the Best Paper Awards based on their high quality, including

1.      Jun Huang, Ningxia Huang, Yaqin Wu, Shuhui Ou, Zhixuan Jin and Ling Xie. Beyond the clock: Investigating work connectivity behavior after-hours and its influence on newcomers’ organizational socialization;

2.      Wai Kin Leung, Kwok K. Kwong, and Yifan Zhan.  For CEOs, It pays to be Ethical and is Lethal to manage earnings;

3.      Wu Chong. "Wu\'s Three Tendencies for Decision-Making"-A Non-Linear Growth Paradigm Based on the Context of "The Changes of Zhou"

The ACME was established in 1991, and its annual conference provides a forum for members to exchange information and stimulate collaboration with academic and industry organizations in the Pacific Rim region.

第31屆環太平洋管理國際研討會在澳門城市大學成功舉辦

由美國華裔管理學教授協會（ACME）主辦、澳門城市大學承辦的第31屆環太平洋管理國際研討會於2024年6月29日至7月1日在中國澳門城大何賢會議中心成功舉辦。

本次會議共收到近百篇論文和摘要，其中50篇被選為報告論文，主題涵蓋供應鏈、金融、市場行銷、人力資源、資訊技術和ESG等重要問題。《國際管理理論與實踐雜誌》主編馬建宇教授于6月30日為參會的青年學者舉辦了DBA研討會。

澳門城市大學商學院院長Jose Alves博士擔任會議組委會主席，美國加州州立大學克雷格商學院教授Harry Xia博士和城市大學的 Justin Xie 和 William Chen博士 擔任大會組委會聯合主席。

研討會期間，擔任 ACME 本屆會長的 Harry Xia 博士主持了協會理事會會議。會議討論了許多重要問題，包括提議 2025 年再次在城市大學舉行下一屆環太平洋管理國際研討會。

在閉幕式上，三篇高品質論文獲得最佳論文獎，包括

1. Jun Huang、Ningxia Huang、Yaqin Wu、Shuhui Ou、Zhixuan Jin 和 Ling Xie 合著的《超越時間：調查下班後的工作連接行為及其對新人組織社會化的影響》；

2. Wai Kin Leung、Kwok K. Kwong 和 Yifan Zhan 合著的《對於 CEO 來說，道德是值得的，管理收益是致命的》；

3. Wu Chong 所著的 “吳氏決策趨勢”——基於《周易》背景的非線性增長範式

ACME 成立於 1991 年，其年度會議為會員和高校提供了一個交流資訊並促進與環太平洋地區學術和行業組織合作的平臺。
