With this volume, AAM has completed its 10th year of existence. It coincides with the passing of my 91 year-old professor and doctoral dissertation advisor, Professor Lajos Takács. At just the time he was to be honored in this issue of AAM. Thus, while we pause a moment to remember him, we will also seize the opportunity to posthumously congratulate Takács, a great pioneer in the field of queueing theory, author of three books (in English) and 225 original world renowned papers, and the winner of the John von Neumann Theory Prize. Should you have questions or comments about AAM, please contact the Editor-in-Chief at amhaghighi@pvamu.edu.
