Hello,

As of January 1, 2011 the validity period for CPR/AED and First Aid is now two years. SABA will offer instructors the ability to enter course directly in to the national data base, print 8.5x11 certificates of completion and have access to their full instructor profile. Within the next few weeks we will provide training dates for face to face training on our new data base SABA. We will also offer the self study method for those who are unable to make the face to face training. After April 1, 2011 all instructors who have received training will be required to enter their course records using the self-service method through SABA.

Please list ALL instructors on the AP Agreement Addendum. We will use this list to type your updated AP Agreement. The Lay responder program will be update this spring and the new materials will be released on March 29th. CPRO and the other programs will follow soon after. The online digital Materials will be released in stages. To retain the 8 dollar fee you will need to submit your 501(C)(3) letter.

With all these exciting changes coming, it’s sometimes hard to communicate these changes to everyone. Please feel free to ask questions along the way. I will try my best to answer your questions as soon as possible.

防范骗子

年底了，骗子横行。陶老师转发以下,请各位朋友加强防范：

个案1：有一妇女手提包被偷，里面有手机、银行卡、钱包等。20分钟后，她打通了老公的电话，告诉自己被偷的事。老公惊呼：“啊，我刚才收到你的短信，问咱家银行卡的密码，我立马就回了！”他们赶到银行时，被告知里面所有的钱都已被提走。小偷通过用偷来的手机发送短信给"亲爱的老公"而获取了密码，然后在短短20分钟内把钱取走了。提醒：不要在手机通讯录中暴露自己与联系人的关系，忌用“家电”、“老公”、“爸妈”等称呼。一律用名字，字越少越安全。

个案2：建行一同志转述:今天经过一栋大楼门口，门口有一提款机。有一个老伯，一直看着我走过他身边，突然叫住我,他说他不识字，拿一张银行卡要我帮他在大楼门口的自动提款机取钱。我回答我无法帮你取，叫警卫帮你。结果，他就回答我说不用了,继续找其他路人帮他取钱。朋友们要记住---取款机可是有摄影机耶。万一他说我抢劫或是偷他的提款卡，甚至他的卡片是偷来的，帮他领钱会在提款机留下影像，绝对会让你百口莫辩！我会警惕!是因为已有同事上当，目前仍官司缠身。提醒：显然这是诈骗集团在找替身了！请立即传出去！骗案真是层出不穷,一不小心就会踏入陷阱,真是令人防不胜防！各位朋友在外多小心！

个案3：芍药居一业主，家中突然断电，看到窗户外别人家里都有电，就出门查看自家电表箱，打开门就被刀子顶着了--持刀入室抢劫.... 提醒：大家如果家里突然断电，不要贸然就开门查看，有猫眼的多观察一会门外动静，没猫眼的也隔着门静听一段时间，没有异常响动再开门.

个案4：各位女同胞们注意了！男同胞请叫自己的朋友注意了！这是最新骗局：新出的情况，一位上班的小姐在下班回家的路上看到一个小孩子一直哭，很可怜，然后就过去问那小朋友怎么了，小朋友就跟那个小姐说：“我迷路了，可以请你带我回家吗?”然后拿一张纸条给她看，说那是他家地址。然后她就笨笨的带小孩子去了，一般人都有同情心，然后带到那个所谓小孩子的家里以后，她一按铃，门铃像是有高压电，就失去知觉了。醒来就被脱光光在一间空屋里，身边什么都没有了，她甚至连犯人长啥样子都没看见。提醒：现在人犯案都是利用同情心啊，如果遇到类似这种的,千万别带他去，要带就带他到派出所去好了，走丢的小孩放到派出所一定没错啦，请通知身边所有女性，为了广大女士的安全，看完后麻烦给转发给所有人....

个案5：昨晚在金海里的工行自动取款机取钱时，后面来了个老妇女，问我能不能取钱，还说什么取款机有个键可能坏了，旁边不知什么时候来了个小女孩，一直想往我身边挤，我也没在意，小孩子淘气嘛，可是过分的是她竟然把手朝出钞口放，准备拿我的钱了，我感觉不对劲了，立即把她推到一边，等着把钱取出来。之后我想了一下，她们俩给我设了个套：老妇女负责和我瞎聊，吸引我的注意力，小女孩趁我不注意时抢走我的钱！如果我不防备的话，钱说不定就被抢走了，这样的话，我就进套了：（一:我立即去追小女孩，去追回我的钱，可是谁又会相信一个小女孩能抢我一个大人的钱呢？更可怕的是站在我后面的老妇女将会取光我卡中所有的钱，因为我的卡还在取款机里面；二:我不立即去追小女孩，等拿到卡再追，到那时小女孩就无影无踪了，钱也就没了啊：（她们真的很"聪明"，很可耻的！！！) 提醒：大家注意了！到自动取款机取钱时一定要倍加小心！

个案6：我父母都退休在家。昨天上午，来一陌生中年人，说自己摩托车油开没了，加油站太远，摩托车又太重推不动，所以想问我父母要一个可乐瓶去买汽油，刚开口就说实在不行就出2、3元买一个空瓶好了。我母亲就拿了个空瓶给他，别说他还真从口袋里掏出钱来，不过是几张百元大钞，还让我父母找钱。我母亲顿生警觉，说算了，不过是一个空瓶而已。他非要把100元钱破开买下来，只不过还是那张百元大钞。好在我母亲尚未老太龙钟，也不是那种爱贪小便宜的人。实际上那几张百元大钞都是假钞。提醒：请老年朋友们千万小心，小心千万。

个案7：最近有人告诉我，他的朋友在晚上听到门口有婴儿在哭，不过当时已很晚了而且她认为这件事很奇怪，于是她打电话给110。110告诉她∶「无论如何，绝对不要开门。」这位女士表示那声音听起来象是婴儿爬到窗户附近哭，她担心婴儿会爬到街上，被车子碾过。110告诉她∶我们已派人前往，无论如何不能开门。警方认为这是一个连续杀人犯，利用婴儿哭声的录音带，诱使女性以为有人在外面遗弃婴儿，她们出门察看。虽然尚未证实此事，但是警方已接到许多女性打电话来说，她们晚上独自在家时，听到门外有婴儿的哭声，请将这个消息传给其他人。提醒：不要因为听到婴儿的哭声而开门，感觉事情奇怪立即拨打110。请严肃看待这篇文字！小心为妙!!!

Two years ago, when I first addressed a joint session of Congress, this country faced a crisis unlike anything since the Great Depression -- an economy that had spiraled out of control, putting millions out of work.

Today, we''re in a different place. An economy that was shrinking is now growing again. But across the country, millions are struggling every day -- to find work, to pay their bills, to provide for their families.

It is clear that the moment we now face demands a vision for how we as a people will win the future.

And that vision -- that agenda -- will be the topic of my State of the Union address.

Angiogenesis Therapy has been known to the Chinese for centuries and have passed it on unknowingly from generations to generations on the type of foods to eat and to avoid. The classical examples of such anti-angiogenesis foods, are warm Chinese tea and garlic, ginger, soya, and green vegies. Our greatest power in fighting against CANCER is our eating habits and life-style, eg, body weight (OBESITY), sugar, smoking, alcohol, healthy environment and exercise. Its basically common sense - if we continually subject our bodies to toxic diets and unhealthy environments, then CANCER will eventually develop within our system.

1. 很現實很有道理的話
不要評價別人的容貌，因為他不靠你吃飯。
不要評價別人的德行，因為你不比他高尚。
不要評價別人的家庭，因為那和你無關。

不要亂花錢，因為明天你就可能失業。

2. 別低估任何人。
你沒那麼多觀眾，別那麼累。

學會寬容傷害自己的人，因為他們很可憐，各人都有自己的難處，大家都不容易。

3. 付出並不一定有結果。堅持可能會導致失去更多。
過去的事情可以不忘記，但一定要放下。
活得輕鬆，任何事都作一個最好的打算和最壞的打算。
做一個簡單的人，踏實而務實。不沉溺幻想。不庸人自擾。
不說謊話，因為總有被拆穿的一天。

別人光鮮的背後或者有著太多不為人知的痛苦。
盡量充實自己。不要停止學習。不管學習什麼，語言，廚藝，各種技能。
注意自己的修養，你就是孩子的第一位老師。
孝順父母。不只是嘴上說說，即使多打幾個電話也是很好的。
愛父母，因為他們給了你生命，同時也是愛你愛的最無私的人。

4. 偶爾也要現實和虛偽一點，因為不那樣做的話，很難混。
收斂自己的脾氣，偶爾要刻意沉默，因為衝動會做下讓自己無法挽回的事情。
無論什麼時候，做什麼事情，要思考。
永遠不要給背叛過自己的朋友第二次的背叛的機會。
無論是誰，都有自己的限度。特別是信任。
懂得傾聽別人的忠告。
別人說的記在腦袋裡，而自己的，則放在心裡。
盡量不要講同事朋友的八卦。
信佛，信因果，在真正的因果面前，人的力量是微不足道的。

5. 真正了解無常的含義，當你痛苦時，你要想這痛苦不是永恆的，當你快樂時，你要想這快樂也不是永恆的。

空虛無聊的時候就讀書，但一定得有自己的生活目標和計劃。

6. 請記得，好朋友的定義是：你混的好，她打心眼里為你開心；你混的不好，她由衷的為你著急。
要有夢想，即使遙遠。
努力愛一個人。付出，不一定會有收穫；不付出，卻一定不會有收穫，不要奢望出現奇蹟。
承諾是一件美好的事情，但美好的東西往往不會變為現實。
每個人都有自己鮮明的主張和個性，不要識途去改變他人，同樣，也不要被他人所改變。改了，就不是自己了。
沒有十全十美的東西，沒有十全十美的人，關鍵是清楚到底想要什麼。得到想要的，肯定會失去另外一部分。如果什麼都想要，只會什麼都得不到。
這個世界最脆弱的是生命，身體健康，很重要。

不要試圖控制別人，不要要求別人理解你。
活在當下，別在懷念過去或者憧憬未來中浪費掉你現在的生活。

7. 不要忘本，任何時候，任何事情。
要誠懇，要坦然，要慷慨，要寬容，要有平常心。
學會忘記,善忘是一件好事。
要樂觀，要積極，多笑，多照鏡子。
相信他說的話，但不要當真。
做自己的決定。然後準備好承擔後果。從一開始就提醒自己，世上沒有後悔藥吃。
自己不喜歡的人，可以報之以沉默微笑；自己喜歡的人，那就隨便怎麼樣了，因為你的喜愛會擋也擋不住地流露出來。
相信因果報應！相信輪迴！

8. 要學會忍耐與堅持！
這個世界上沒有真正的愛情……時間可以沖淡一切。
不要做刺猬能不與人結仇就不與人結仇，誰也不跟誰一輩子，有些事情沒必要記在心上
有時要學會聽取身邊人的意見，更多時候這樣才不會讓自己受到傷害。
忘記過去才能有新的開始。
這個世界很不公平。
不要太依賴朋友，人性基本都有惡的一面。
愛情很美好，相信愛情。如果連愛情都不相信那人生豈不太苦了？
想得到一樣一定會失去另一件東西。
痛苦讓人成長，是你進步的一個機會，一個挑戰。別害怕痛苦的事情，它有另一面積極的作用。

9. 人就是孤獨的，緩解它帶來的痛苦的唯一方式就是平靜的接受它。
沒有經歷過的，永遠不能理解這些道理，但聽聽也是好的。
可以不美麗，可以不可愛，可以不溫柔，但是一定要誠實和善良。
喜愛一切美好的事物，讚美並享受它們所帶來的美好。
當困難來臨時，用微笑去面對，用智慧去解決。
要勇於承認自己所犯的錯誤，並承擔其帶來的責任。
愛家人，愛朋友，愛伴侶，愛孩子，然而，要真正為自己活。
永遠不要為已發生的和未發生的事憂慮。已經發生既成事實憂慮也於事無補，未發生的憑主觀臆測，無法推斷事情的走向，徒增煩惱而已。
不要老在別人面前傾訴你的困境袒露你的脆弱。
不要想著依靠別人，要有目標有追求，這與年齡無關。

10. 做一個簡單的人，踏實而務實。不沉溺幻想。不庸人自擾。
學會思考，頭腦清晰，明白自己的渺小，切忌自我陶醉。槍打出頭鳥，凡事不要強出頭，因為並沒有想像中的強！
每個人都是獨立的個體，真的沒有誰離開誰就活不下去！
不要太高估自己在集體中的力量，因為當你選擇離開時，就會發現即使沒有你，太陽照常升起！
社會是有等級的，很多事不公平。別抱怨，因為沒有用。

科技创业浙江行

波士顿128华人科技企业协会计划于2011年3月27日至4月2日举行为期7天的“科技创业浙江行”活动，现已正式收到来自湖州，绍兴，杭州，萧山，金华，台州，舟山，和宁波等城市及地区的邀请。预计访问团人数在15人，根据各地的具体安排，每个城市将访问1到2天，旅行费用一部分可能可以报销。

举办该活动有两个目的：
（1）为基本满足中国政府千人计划要求的海外高层次科技创业人才找到国内推荐申报的单位或园区，寻找项目对接企业，了解浙江各地为启动扶持海归创业项目的政策和特点，创业环境，地方和民间的后续投资力度和行业侧重方向。
（2）为浙江各城市吸引海外人才，项目和资金；为优秀民企，企业家吸引海外科技人才，了解海外市场提供一个直接与海归人才见面沟通的机会。

被访问城市和访问团人员的选定将通过双向选择确定。3月底是浙江最美丽的季节，希望有意愿参加的朋友和同事尽快填写附件表格报名，在2月7日前寄回。经城市有关负责人选择后在2月11日前通知被邀请人员，以便早做旅行准备。

大型古裝豫劇《趙氏孤兒》將於2010年1月23日星期天下午3時於PASADENA CITY COLLEGE Saxon theatre 隆重演出。本劇是國家舞台藝術精品工程十大精品劇目之首、由河南省文化廳廳長楊麗萍, 豫劇二團團長李樹健等領導帶隊,帶領全體隊員達50餘人, 不遠萬里, 在春節期間來到洛杉磯, 為華人父老相親獻上一場宏大的藝術盛宴。

此次演出是《趙氏孤兒》春節期間美國巡演的第一站，之後該團還將到OREGON、SAN FRANCISCO等地區為當地的華人鄉親進行慰問演出。這是河南省文化廳啟動的“藝術精品海外行”系列活動的重要內容。是河南豫劇大型劇目第一次赴美國演出，也是河南舞台藝術精品第一次登陸美國，為在美國展示當代河南文化形式帶了一個好頭。

《趙氏孤兒》雖然是第一次進入美國演出, 但早在2010年3月份在洛杉磯舉行的國際家庭電影節(International Family Film Festival)上, 勇奪<<最佳音樂獎>> (Best Musical) 。這是由《趙氏孤兒》原班人馬擔綱, 自戲曲改編的電影藝術形式, 為中國戲曲在國際舞台上贏得了殊榮。極大的方便了全世界的藝術愛好者來欣賞這個來自中國河南的藝術精品。

《趙氏孤兒》在中國是一個婦孺皆知的英雄故事—— 晉靈公武將屠岸賈（tu an gu）僅因其與忠臣趙盾不和與嫉妒趙盾之子趙朔身為駙馬，竟殺滅趙盾家300人，僅剩遺孤被程嬰所救出。屠岸賈下令將全國一月至半歲的嬰兒全部殺盡，以絕後患。 20年後，孤兒趙武長成，程嬰繪圖告之國仇家恨，遺孤趙武終報前仇。作品描寫了忠正與奸邪的矛盾衝突，揭露了權奸的兇殘本質，歌頌了為維護正義、捨己為人的高貴品質，氣勢悲壯，感人肺腑。

此次演出由美西河南同鄉會, 美中藝術家聯合會, 美國Sias國際集團(Sias International group)共同主辦——推介家鄉文化, 加強海外華人的凝聚力, 一起把河南豫劇, 河南文化推向世界。

SECOND CALL FOR PAPERS AND PARTICIPATION

The Mathematics & Statistics Research Unit in collaboration with the Education Research Unit of the Athens Institute for Education and Research (ATINER) will hold its 5th Annual International Conference in Athens, Greece, 13-16 June, 2011. The conference website is www.atiner.gr/mathematics.htm. The registration fee is 250 euro, covering access to all sessions, 2 lunches, coffee breaks and conference material. In addition a Greek night of entertainment, a dinner, a half-day tour to archaeological site in the Prefecture of Attica and a special one-day cruise in the Greek islands are organized at extra cost. Special arrangements will be made with local hotels for a limited number of rooms at a special conference rate.

The conference is soliciting paper (in English only) from all areas of Mathematics, Statistics, Math Education and Stat Education. Selected (peer reviewed) papers will be published in a Special Volume of the Conference Proceedings.
