Our webmaster, Dr Graverson, has over 30 years of IT experience. The JSOM website is secured with 128-bit SSL encryption, so all communication between your computer and our webservers is encrypted; no plain-text information is sent, especially usernames, passwords, email addresses, etc. Both the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) and the Department of Defense (DoD) recommend passwords be a minimum length of 8 characters with a combination of upper and lower case characters, digits, and special characters. 維州僑友社曾于1972年聯合悉尼與坎培拉駐華社團聚集日本駐澳大使館舉行“保釣運動”示威遊行。三十八年過去了，今年九月七日，日本巡邏船碰撞中國漁船，是日本政府企圖繼續霸佔中國領土的又一次行動。因此，僑友社于十月三十日下午三時假該社禮堂召開釣魚島局勢討論會。到目前為止，報名參加“保釣運動”有37個社團(包括四大媒體集團)。以個人名義參加者38位。
討論會由僑友社主席邢怡雄主持。首先他報告德高望重的雷謙光盟長與僑友社創辦人92歲高齡的梁國祥兩位已同意為此活動的名譽顧問。接著，參會者熱情洋溢地發言：梁國祥（僑友社）、楊錦華（澳華時事論壇）、項翔（華夏傳媒集團總裁）、張顯揚（澳洲印支華裔社團聯合會）、林基（柬華聯合會）、李福原（安老之家）、林青松（福建同鄉會）、林立振（墨爾本世界福清同鄉會）、趙捷豹（ATVAA電視）、廖蟬娥（維州自由黨候選人）、梁靖文（樂善坊）、郭明（SBS聽眾）、符應（迪肯大學生）等。郭明先生提出此活動不應有政治觀點局限，我們應邀請臺灣社團參加，全體鼓掌同意。符應先生也高舉其手說他會在各大學呼籲所有華裔學生支持與合作。也獲全場一致稱譽。
討論會發言內容歸納如下：
釣魚島歷史背景：自古以來，釣魚島就是中國領土，隸屬臺灣宜蘭縣管轄。1950年日本曾發表一地圖，其中並未包括釣魚島在日本領土之內。證明此島不是日本領土。
美國的惡作劇：第二次大戰後，日本投降，釣魚島本應與臺灣一起交還中國。但因當時的美國反共冷戰極端，遂於1971年擅自將釣魚島交給日本管轄，成為美日對付中國的陰謀,。現在，北京與臺北政府應聯合向美國提出抗議，要美國承擔責任將釣魚島回歸中國。
美日陰謀：日本缺資源，國土小，侵略中國成習慣，奸殺中國人民成本性。美國需要抵制中國發展強大，為保持其世界第一大霸國地位。美日陰謀抵制中國是自然的，中國應採取必要的行動收回釣魚島，必要時包括武力解決。
中國的禮儀之道：21世紀的國際社會不是禮儀、“友好”的社會，美國現在正在東南亞各國覬覦中國的地位。中國在國際上的表態是不侵略外國，不霸佔非中國土地的“友好”國家，但在釣魚島的局勢下，中國不能再以禮儀之邦單純“友好”協商。
世界華裔的立場：生活在中國以外的中華民族（當地國籍者）是中國嫁出去的女兒，我們對中國領土關心是以同血統，同根生的立場支持祖籍國的完整。抗日戰爭，歷年天災，各地華裔的行動是大家共識的，我們支援中國收回釣魚島國土。
草擬宣言：討論會決定由邢怡雄、楊錦華、項翔、與張顯揚起稿宣言，登報發表初稿內容，徵求公眾意見，並與澳洲各地聯繫，做成全澳華人宣言書，呈遞日本、美國、中國各大使館及澳洲總理和反對黨領袖，並向主流媒體傳達此文件。
中華民族之魂：我們要求中華民族每一分子都來支持中國領土的完整和尊嚴，表達中華民族是一個有理智、有思想、堅強勇敢、不甘受辱的人類。望大家團結起來、積極回應、踴躍參加，發出你的聲音！

CALL FOR PAPERS AND PARTICIPATION

The Mathematics & Statistics Research Unit in collaboration with the Education Research Unit of the Athens Institute for Education and Research (ATINER) will hold its 5th Annual International Conference in Athens, Greece, 13-16 June, 2011. The conference website is www.atiner.gr/mathematics.htm. The registration fee is 250 euro, covering access to all sessions, 2 lunches, coffee breaks and conference material. In addition a Greek night of entertainment, a dinner, a half-day tour to archaeological site in the Prefecture of Attica and a special one-day cruise in the Greek islands are organized at extra cost. Special arrangements will be made with local hotels for a limited number of rooms at a special conference rate.

The conference is soliciting paper (in English only) from all areas of Mathematics, Statistics, Math Education and Stat Education. 昨天好不容易抛开生意，社会工作，带着全家老少三代人去电影院看了中国电影“唐山大地震”，真的被震住了，感慨万千，冯小刚的电影完全改变了我对中国电影的认识：
 如果你好久没哭过的话，请去体验以泪洗面，嚎啕大哭的感觉。我自己大哭超过5次。
 如果你要理解中国人的情感，传统，理智，请去体验当我的女儿问我地震来临，我只能救一个的时候，是救哥哥还是她？我无言以对。
 如果你要了解中国人的苦难，中国人的精神，请去电影中寻找感动。
 如果你要了解30年来中国的历史及巨大变化，请去电影中寻找我们这一代人所经历的时代脉搏。
总之，这不是一个简单的灾难片，这是一部中国人的史诗，你可以猜想电影的各种套路和结局，可是这个电影所表现的深度令人意想不到。请今天就去电影院观看，为我们中国电影捧场，加油！令我感到更悲伤的是我看这个电影时整个电影院就8个人（我家就6人），这麽好的电影宣传不够。我要大声呼吁，心动就要行动，带上你的全家人去为我们中国电影提升在美国的票房填砖加瓦，明天是最后一天在美国上演，否则后悔就来不及了！

我向太空“发射”了一个磁谱仪
八十年前狄拉克创建反物质理论后指出：宇宙中正反物质星球应各占一半。随后人们相继发现了正电子.负质子.等反物质粒子，证明狄拉克的反物质理论是正确的，但至今未发现反物质星球。
1998年6月为探测反物质的阿尔法磁谱仪搭载“发现”号航天飞机升空10天，2011年2月磁谱仪搭载最后一班航天飞机升空探索反物质。
磁谱仪是一块大磁体，它升空是利用正反物质粒子经过它时，这块大磁体会有不同的反应来探测反物质的。
地球也是一块大磁体，经过她的正反物质粒子地球也会有相应的反应，根据现在较流行的地球磁场成因理论，地球磁场由内源场和外源场两部分组成，内源场大约占地磁总强度的百分之九十多，外源场是由地球外部环绕地球的大气电产生的，大约占地磁总强度的百分之几。地磁外源场部分是随地球在宇宙中所处环境的不同而变化的，如太阳爆发引起的地磁场变化，如果地球身处在反物质星球的宇宙环境中，地球磁场也一定会有相应的变化，而留存在古地磁的记录中。
我在《中国科技信息》杂志2008.18期发表的文章“地球磁场及其应用”中证明地球磁场是由地球外部的电流产生的，推翻了地球磁场由地球内部产生的地磁成因理论（因证明过程很长，又很麻烦在这里就不说了）。从而提出地球磁场极性的倒转是由于太阳系运动到反物质星球占多数的宇宙环境中造成的。所以研究地球磁场极性倒转的时间年代，就可以探知反物质星球在宇宙中的位置。
正反物质的湮灭反应有百分之九十以上的物质转变为能量，而氢转变成氦的核聚变只有不到百分之二的物质转变为能量。所以反物质可以给我们提供很好的能源。
我在“地球磁场及其应用”文章中提出正反物质的湮灭反应产生一种新物质，由于这种物质不与正物质发生反应也不与反物质发生反应，所以我们可以把它放在正反物质之间用以控制正反物质的湮灭反应。2008年10月美国费米实验室做了正反质子对撞实验产生了一种新物质被称做“幽灵粒子”，与我以上提出的相一致，验证了我理论的正确性。
关于反物质的获取我在“地球磁场及其应用”文章中指出彗星是反物质星球，我们可以把它打成碎块按大小需要摘取或让它降落到地球的安全地方。
总之反物质将被我们利用，让它为人类造福。
用人为的力量向太空发射磁谱仪耗资巨大，因为宇宙巨大，寻找反物质耗时也巨大，阿尔法磁谱仪1只在太空停留十天，阿尔法磁谱仪2将在太空停留十年。由于宇宙太大十天和十年在宇宙中只能是一个点和一个极短的线，用此方法探寻反物质的成功率很低。所以我提出了用地球这个大磁体作为磁谱仪的想发，此方法是否可行，我很想请教丁肇中先生，不知怎样能够找到他老人家，请看到此文章的您帮忙，谢谢。

In Shanghai Girl Gets All Dressed Up, Asian art historian Beverley Jackson explores the city that fostered such radical cultural and social change and the daring and fashionable women—including actresses, courtesans, and showgirls—who wore these fabulous and revealing dresses.

The program is presented in conjunction with the museum's current exhibition, "China Modern: Designing Popular Culture 1910 – 1970" and is co-sponsored by TGLAinc, Textile Group of Los Angeles Inc.

中國旅美青年女指揮家張弦，將於11月初首次站上甘迺迪表演藝術中心演奏廳舞台，和國家交響樂團（NSO）合作舉行三場音樂會。
2002年9月在卡內基音樂廳的第一屆馬澤爾．維拉國際指揮大賽中獲得首獎的張弦，是辛辛那提音樂院指揮博士，曾任該校樂團音樂總監、義大利盧卡歌劇院的盧卡音樂節音樂總監，2005年起獲聘擔任紐約愛樂交響樂團副指揮，後因懷孕請辭。
張弦來自中國遼寧丹東，父母都是業餘音樂人，張弦從出生、命名，就註定走音樂的路。她4歲起學習鋼琴，17歲考入北京中央音樂學院鋼琴系，後由於個子嬌小、手指短小，在老師建議下，改學音樂理論、指揮，另闢蹊徑也闖出傲人成就。
現年37歲卻已活躍於國際主要古典樂壇的張弦，過去幾年曾領導倫敦皇家樂團、芝加哥交響樂團、休士頓交響樂團、多倫多交響樂團、洛杉磯愛樂交響樂團等，也曾擔任2007、2008年愛斯本音樂節樂團指揮。2008年她曾帶領茱麗亞音樂院樂團赴中國巡迴演出，演出旅美作曲家陳怡等人作品，頗獲好評。
張弦於甘迺迪中心首次登台，三場演出分別是11月4日晚7時、6日晚8時、7日下午1時30分，曲目包括德布西的「牧神的午後前奏曲」、史特拉文斯基的「夜鶯之歌」、巴爾托克的「奇異的滿州官吏」，國家交響樂團也將邀請小提琴家吉爾莎漢（Gil Shaham）合作普羅高菲夫的第二號小提琴協奏曲。
